    Jack Antenna or Wineguard?

Looks like I have to replace my Wineguard antenna as the plastic bracket on the antenna unit itself is cracked where it attaches to the two square aluminum support arms.  (Very cheap design).  I could just replace the antenna unit or another option is to convert from a Windguard to a "Jack"...

    Broken Wineguard Antenna Bracket.

Do you think the Jack has improved reception over the Wineguard?

    Broken Wineguard Antenna Bracket.

Looks like the plastic bracket where my Wineguard antenna attaches to the two 1" square aluminum supports is broken.  I was surprised how cheaply this is made.  Have any of you had similar problems and is there an upgrade or better way to go with a replacement.  Looks like I need to purchase a...

    RV Window Screen Frame Parts.

Can a guy get the aluminimum window screen parts somewhere to replace a missing screen?  In particular looking for the 2" radius corner parts.

    Dry Batteries... Just add water?

Well as you all suspected, the batteries are shot.  I added more water just to have it leak out.  The motorhome came from down south and now resides in Northern Minnesota.  They must have froze and broke.  The funny thing is that this last weekend we camped for three days at a primative site...

    Dry Batteries... Just add water?

I just bought a 2002 motorhome and the two 6 volt batteries appeared to be powering the motorhome OK.  When I checked them however, I could not see any water in the cells.  I added two quarts of water to each and still can not see the water level.  Should I add more water or is there a better...

    Awning repair parts.

Does anyone know if you can get repair parts for Carefree awning systems.  I have a Carefree Pioneer Manual Crank Upgrade kit and on the crank end, the white metal pin connections to the arm broke.  They could make them a little beefier but all I really need is the one part that is mounted on...

    Leco Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Does anyone have any experience with carbon monoxide detectors?  I have a built-in Leco that I assume is original with motorhome and 16 years old.  Do these things have a limited useful life?  It has a power light that remains on but the test button does nothing and I assume it does not work at...

Using EPDM Liquid Roof over Eternabond Tape

I believe it is recommended you glue the entire rubber sheet down to the plywood.  I used the M-1 to do that with a putty knife.  There may also be some other similar products that are used to glue down EPDM.

Using EPDM Liquid Roof over Eternabond Tape

Hunter--  Sounds like you are off and running. From what I have read from others they don't think you have to remove the old caulk before putting on the Eternabond but I think it is a good idea to remove anything that looks loose, flaking or peeling back.  If your old caulk appears to be a petro...

    Wireless backup camera question

All depends how much you want to spend.  I bought a wireless 5" color backup camera on Ebay for $45.  My transmitter is mounted under the bed in the rear of my 27' RV and it works just fine.

Using EPDM Liquid Roof over Eternabond Tape

Hunter--  I did my roof repair back in June and it went great.  I opened up about a 3 square foot area of the rubber, pealed it back, cut the delaminated plywood out, replaced plywood by gluing and screwing (be sure to countersink screws), glued rubber back down with M-1 lap sealant, sealed cut...

    Professional roof recoating

Rapid Roof III material cost should be around $500 to do the job.  If you have seams termination stips, or penetrations to seal 4" Eternabond tape is around $1 per foot.

    rubber roof

The biggest questions are if the rubber is loose from the underlaying substrate or if the substrate is bubbled.  How old is the rubber roof?  I am doing a complete rehab job on my 1994 Damon right now.  Price depends on any underlying damage to to plywood substrate,  if you do it yourself and...

Dumping RV waste into a home septic tank

I would not suggest dumping a full tank into the septic at one time.  As indicated earlier, it will surge the tank and possibly push solids from the sludge cap in the septic tank into the drainfield, which can give you big problems.  FOR SURE DO NOT discharge anything into the observation cap...
